Student Assistant for Entrepreneurship Program Development

Job Description

We believe students should not just learn about entrepreneurship in the classroom; they should practice it. Through this role, employees become core contributors to shaping and contributing to the strong growth already seen in the new entrepreneurship major and minor, developing the skills, experience, and connections to lead effectively and innovate in any future venture.

By working directly with Dr. David Jorgensen, employees will build marketing initiatives, recruit prospective students, support events and competitions, and drive innovation in program development. Each year brings new leadership opportunities as skills grow.  

Year 1
Responsibility/Function

  •     Create and manage marketing materials (brochures, flyers, social media).
  •   Track interest and enrollment trends.
  •   Support recruiting events, including Accepted Students Days.
  •   Assist with compiling program data and creating reports.

Year 2
Responsibility/Function

  •     Help design and implement outcomes assessments.
  •   Plan and facilitate information sessions.
  •   Support annual program events and exhibitions.
  •   Monitor and report on the tutoring program.
  •   Field inquiries about the major and minor.

Year 3
Responsibility/Function

  •     Organize and support competition applications.
  •   Curate and manage social media content.
  •   Assist with academic research and grant applications.
  •   Provide course support and event coordination as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position will need to be capable of working autonomously and professionally, and in so doing will, like past employees, experience phenomenal personal growth. Experience in graphic design is preferred.
