Job Description

This role will the student become proficient in various social media platforms, as well as the tools needed to create content. The student will receive firsthand experience strategizing and creating content for a cross-channel social media presence. 

Year 1
Responsibility/Function

The first year of this internship will be mainly geared in learning the basics and assisting in tasks as needed.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Learning the basics of Canva, Capcut, and creating content for each social media platform
  • Assisting in capturing videos and photos as needed
  • Assisting with Administrative tasks as needed (managing follow requests for the Class of 2030 page, etc.)

Year 2
Responsibility/Function

The second year of this internship will focus on building on the skills learned in the first year, and gaining more independence in creating social media content
Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in planning and brainstorming content for our social media channels
  • Assisting in capturing videos and photos as needed
  • Weekly posts on an assigned topic/category

Year 3
Responsibility/Function

The third year of this internship will focus on being more independent, taking responsibility for a full social media campaign on top of other tasks. The student will have a foundation from the past 2 years to set them up for success in this role.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in planning and brainstorming content for our social media channels
  • Assisting in capturing videos and photos as needed
  • Taking ownership of a social media campaign from concept to analysis of results.

*Students are prohibited from driving during work-study employment with the limited exception of authorized work-study driver positions.
