Criminal Justice Graduate Assistant
The Criminal Justice Graduate Assistant will report directly to Dr. Sean Varano (MS Criminal Justice Program Director) and will work under the mentorship of a faculty member in Criminal Justice. The GA will provide direct assistance to identified faculty member with their research.
- Provide direct assistance to identified faculty member with their research.
- Assist with the collection published research
- Perform data entry and/or coding for research projects
- Prepare written documents to be used in published or non-published work
- Attend check-ins with the Program Director
- Develop work plans and expected deliverables on a periodic basis
- Participate in research projects that result in published work
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be current RWU graduate student accepted into the MS Criminal Justice Program
- Be in good academic and judicial standing with the University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must hold an earned Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related discipline
- Strong writing skills
- Experience conducting and preparing literature reviews
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference may be given to students that have completed, or plan to complete, an honors/senior thesis at the undergraduate level
Must be a current graduate student accepted into the MS Criminal Justice program at RWU. This role will be available for the 2025-2026 academic year.
May work 10 hours/week, paid at $20/hour up to $4,000 per academic year.
